“Cycling safely!”: a cycling camp for the children with hearing loss to whom the Fiți Buni Association had given hearing aids, with Audionova: four days around Ponoarele, in Mehedinți County, in July 2025.
The story of the campaign
“Cycling safely! – Freedom on two wheels” was organised by the Fiți Buni Association from 20 to 23 July 2025, around Ponoarele, in Mehedinți County. For four days the children cycled on safe, well-marked routes through the Băluța Gorge, and on the way home they prayed at Baia de Aramă Monastery.
The project was one of the 100 winners of the Pepcolandia 2025 programme, run by Pepco Romania with the pastel Association; Audionova supported it too. Father Ion Iagăru, the initiator of the activities, and his wife Nicoleta Iagăru, the association’s president, were at the camp.
“I believe in the power of small deeds that bring big changes. Through this project we give children with hearing loss not only the chance to ride, but also the confidence that they are worth going further, with dignity and courage,” says Father Ion.
