On the night between the years, many believers from Caracal and from the surrounding area chose to spend the passing from one year to the next in the church of Caracal Municipal Hospital, knowing that prayer will fulfil them spiritually in the year to come, and also to give thanks to God for the year that is just ending.

The liturgical programme on New Year's night will begin at 23:45 with the service of the Akathist of our Lord Jesus Christ, accompanied by prayers of thanksgiving for the good things received in the year that has passed and by prayers at the entering of the new year, and will continue with the Divine Liturgy and an agape meal.
